Health and Safety Statement
North
Norfolk Construction recognises that it is responsible for ensuring,
so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare
at work of its employees. The Company believes that the pro-active
management of health and safety issues as detailed within the
health and safety company policy is an integral part of its obligations
to its employees and to the wider community.
This policy statement sets out in broad terms the legal responsibilities
owed by the North Norfolk Construction and by employees in relation
to health and safety issues. It will only be possible for the
Company to comply with these legal obligations if both its employees
and any self-employed third parties on the Company’s premises
understand that they are under a duty to take reasonable care
for the health and safety of themselves and any of their colleagues
who may be affected by their acts or omissions and that they are
required to co-operate with the Company to enable the Company
to perform its obligations.

is a Statement from the Managing Director concerning the commitment
to Health & Safety.
Health
& Safety Policy Statement & Commitment
This
document has been prepared to define the way that this company
intends to manage Health and Safety and to meet the requirements
of the C.D.M. Regulations 2007 and the Approved Codes of Practice
(ACOP), the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
1999 including the 2006 amendments and the Health and Safety at
Work Act 1974 as a whole and sections 2, 3 and 6 in particular.
It
is this company's intention that its work will be carried out
in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and all reasonably
practicable measures taken to avoid risk to its employees or others
who may be affected.
Management
and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing
this policy throughout the company and must ensure that Health
and Safety considerations are always given priority in the planning
and the day to day supervision of work.
All
employees and sub contractors are expected to co-operate with
the company in carrying out this policy and must ensure that their
own work, so far as is reasonably practicable is carried out without
risk to themselves or others.
The
company has appointed Miss Katie Pearson as having particular
responsibility for
Health, Safety and Welfare and to whom preference should be made
in the event of
any difficulty arising in the implementation of this policy.
The
operation of this policy will be monitored by the management and
staff of the
company. Safety on Site Limited will assist them in this respect
by giving advice on
the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions, the setting
up of safety
management systems and safety matters generally by providing information
and
training and auditing compliance.
This
statement of company policy will be displayed prominently at all
sites and
workplaces. It will also be made available (on request) to any
client, employee or sub
contractor of the company. |
